Osoyoos & District Arts Council

President's Report

As we are now getting into March our thoughts change to spring, the feel of the sun on our face and new beginnings. For the Osoyoos & District Arts Council it is going to be a busy time. First we have our membership drive launch with an exciting opportunity for all that renew or begin their memberships. Information will be released to members soon as well as placed on the website.

Have you had a look at the new and improved website? It gives us an increased ability to support our member groups and local artisans as well as post pertinent information as related to our members and member groups. Maybe you are one of our local artisans looking to generate a larger profile in the community; we can provide you a page on website. In the future we will even be able to sell tickets to concerts and programs, sell merchandise and much, much more.

We are also looking at a major fundraising initiative that is new for us but think it will be fun for all. Stay tuned as our target date is early April. Anyone wishing to volunteer for this or future fundraising events can inquire at odacpr@gmail.com

Programming initiatives and some strategic planning round out our list of ‘things to do’ in March. All in all everyone is keeping really busy. If you have any thoughts or ideas of programs, shows or any other arts related items, be sure to get in contact with a member of our board as we would appreciate the opportunity to talk to you.

Enjoy your time in the sun when it gets here.

15 members sent photos in and Lynda did a critique on every image, with some examples on cropping, using a brush to tone down bright areas. and a spot removal tool to get rid of distraction objects. Congrats to her top 3 picks. The Zoom meeting was very well attended by 18 members.
