Osoyoos & District Arts Council Member Exclusive 

Arts In Motion Grants

Recognizing that most groups are challenged with financial constraints, one way that the Osoyoos & District Arts Council can provide support is to seek and share financial support as funding permits. Our goal is to be constantly searching for grant opportunities to enable our ongoing support to the cultural and arts groups in our area. 

The Application Process: 

1. The Arts in Motion grants are only available to Osoyoos & District Arts Councils member groups, you are able to apply for up to a maximum of $500 per fiscal year, funds will be available as long as our funding permits.

 2. Member groups in good standing must complete and submit the Arts in Motion application form a minimum of 30 days prior to the event date. 

3. If your application is not submitted completely (i.e. missing documents or information), the application will be denied. 

4. Upon board review of the application, the member group will be advised if their grant is approved or denied. 

5. Once your grant is approved, your group will receive an e-transfer of 90% of the funds approved.

 6. All programs or events supported by the Osoyoos & District Arts Council must bear an acknowledgement. This includes any advertisement (internal or external to your organization). In absence of written material, a verbal statement should be made at the event. Successful applicants will receive the Arts Council logo to accompany acknowledgement. It is requested that the written and/or verbal acknowledgement include “We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of the Osoyoos & District Arts Council”. 

7. Once the event has occurred, the applicant must submit an Arts in Motion Final Report. Upon receipt of the report and  supporting documents such as photographs of the event and a summary report of attendees, testimonials etc., the Osoyoos & District Arts Council Treasurer will e-transfer the remaining 10% of the approved funds. 

8. If your event is delayed, you must let us know, funds may be applied up to a year after the application is approved. 

Our evaluation Process: We will review each application on a case-by-case basis considering: 

1. Funding availability. 

2. Does the event or activity support, strengthen or grow arts or culture in our area? 

3. The entire project budget, is there sufficient funding? Will the event fail if our funds are not provided?
