About the
Osoyoos & District Arts Council
The Osoyoos & District Arts Council is a registered not for profit society, a registered charity, that provides support to smaller cultural and artistic group organizations, and individual members.
The PURPOSE of the Osoyoos & District Arts Council is to promote and celebrate art and culture in all its forms across the Osoyoos area, fostering collaboration among artists, cultural and artistic groups, and community partners. The arts council serves as the central hub for information sharing, advocacy, and support of arts and cultural activities within the community.
The Osoyoos Community Arts Council was incorporated in December 1981 and officially changed its name to Osoyoos & District Arts Council on July 14, 1989.
We strive to serve artistic, cultural and community groups in Keremeos, Bridesville, Rock Creek and the greater Osoyoos area.
For many years, there have been two Standing Committees to support our local artists, artisans and performers from Osoyoos and the surrounding area:
The ART Gallery Osoyoos - features artists, and artisans of many media with individual or group shows and our well known summer and winter markets. Located at 8713 Main Street, Osoyoos BC - look for the iconic blue awning!
Osoyoos Performing Arts - focused on bringing a variety of live music and performance for the enjoyment of the Osoyoos area residents and visitors. The board of directors has decided to put the Osoyoos Performing Arts committee on hiatus until further notice to allow us to better understand the opportunities for live music and performances in Osoyoos and how we can add value and supplement the community musical and performance opportunities. If you have any thoughts or ideas, we'd love to hear from you!
